Padmini, first off... thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you liked the photo(s). As you've expected, I shot the two versions, focusing on the couple one time and on the setting sun the other time. I have uploaded the other version now and would like to see what you think!

Regarding the lens I have a cheap sigma 70-300 APO which is alright; the only decent lens I use is the Nikkor 18~70.

Awesome-- Pawan a very sharp picture-- I loved this version much--
the feel of the picture is too good--
the saturation and contract are playing really really well with each other--
I have sigma 105mm macro lens-- and I just love it-- in my view sigma is best for the price-- when your photography is just for a hobby and you don't sell them anywhere-- I don't see a point in handling heavy money lenses -- good choice of lens-- and ofcourse nikkor 18- 70 is a good wide angle lens to have in bag-- I have a question-- did u say u have a canon body-- can u use nikkor lenses with it ??

Padmini, glad to know that you liked the other one too. Regarding my gear, I have a canon 20D and use it mostly with sigma 70-300 APO, and my old lady has a nikon D50 with the 18~70 lens. You must be enjoying your 105 macro.... my sigma does a little bit of macro too but I guess not as good as a dedicated macro lens. The sigma APO is not a bad one, and especially for the money its a no brainer!!

welll-- yeah-- I love my macro lens-- but sometimes-- when the lighting is bad then find it difficult to hold and take pictures..cos it keeps loosing it focus even if there is a slightest shake-- But yeah I love taking portraits with it rather than taking real macro shots :)
